GETTING HERE

Antelope has a fairly remote location with most domestic airports being about 150 miles away, with the exception of Roberts Field that is 60 miles away.  So one could fly in to Oregon, rent a vehicle and drive to our town. 

The Nearest towns that one will have to pass through to get to Antelope are: Shaniko is North on Highway 97, take highway 218 South and it is about 15 miles to the store.  

Willowdale is Southwest, also on Highway 97, from here you will take Highway 293 East to the 218 junction, there you will make a left and the store will be 1/4 mile North on Main St.

Fossil is East of Antelope on Highway 19.  Highway 218 is the road between the two towns, it is part of a scenic byway and passes the Clarno Unit and the John Day River.  The windy Road passes through tall Oregon Pines as you decend to the high desert where you see more sage, chapparal and ranches with large open fields.  The highway is a little more than 30 miles and almost goes by too quick, it is no suprise that this is a favorite route of Motorcycle and Classic Car Enthusiasts.
